Who we are

Cro-Magnon Pictures is a Seattle-based group of writers, directors, actors, and musicians.  We are interested in:

- collaborating with local actors, writers, directors, animators, musicians, and multi-media artists to enliven and enrich the local art community

- working with businesses to create entertaining and effective promotional media

- producing short and feature films appealing to a diverse set of tastes and drawing on a wide range of disciplines

Benjamin C Harris is a Seattle actor, writer, director, vocalist, and musician.  His acting has been seen around town at ACT, Balagan Theatre, Seattle Public Theatre, Center House Theatre, and the UW School of Drama, and elsewhere at Indiana Repertory Theatre and Island Stage Left on San Juan Island.  He created the character of Mr. Azymuth for Cro-Magnon Pictures’ first film, The Mr. Azymuth Suite, drawing on the influences of classic film comedians Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Jacques Tati.  Harris plays hand percussion and trumpet and has performed with: The Adam Hunter Band, Vunt Foom!, Gamelan Siwa Nada, VamoLa, and Mariachi Quinto Sol.  Harris is also the narrator of the audiobook Bone By Bone, by Carol O’Connell.


Paul Maupoux is a Seattle videographer, animator, writer, and editor.  He has written and directed several live action and animated shorts.  He has worked as an animator on Fleet Foxes’ animated music video “White Winter Hymnal“, as a builder on Lincoln Leopard’s short film “C.C. 2010″, and as a production assistant on several shorts, music videos, and feature films.  View resume
